Faced with the dual challenges of a tightening macroeconomic environment and intensifying industry competition, how can equipment‑manufacturing enterprises break through and turn the tide?

On June 3, Wang Li, Deputy Secretary-General of the Huaibei Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, led a delegation to Anhui Mining Machinery Co., Ltd. to convene a special symposium titled “I Help Enterprises Find Markets,” where they listened to stakeholders’ concerns, identified key issues, and formulated targeted solutions, leveraging coordinated government–enterprise efforts to help the company overcome challenges in market expansion. Peng Shuqiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union of Huaihai Industrial Group, chaired the meeting.

At the symposium, Anhui Mining Machinery provided a comprehensive overview of the company, covering its corporate profile, core products, manufacturing capabilities, application scenarios, and market development. The presentation highlighted the company’s strengths and competitive advantages while candidly addressing the pressures and challenges it currently faces.

Peng Shuqiang provided a detailed overview of the current operational status, industrial layout, development trajectory, and transformation priorities of Huaihai Industrial Group and its subsidiaries. He systematically identified key needs in areas such as policy support, market alignment, and innovation-driven empowerment, expressing the hope that through coordinated government–enterprise collaboration and targeted assistance, enterprises can be effectively relieved of difficulties and empowered to thrive.

Wang Li commended Anhui Mining Machinery for its deep commitment to the core business of equipment manufacturing and for the tangible results it has achieved in supporting local industrial upgrading. She also put forward specific measures and requirements to address the company’s weaknesses and prioritize key market challenges. She emphasized the need to deliver a “one-two punch” of competitive pricing and superior quality, building on a solid manufacturing foundation to continuously enhance product standards, adopt agile market strategies, and strengthen cost‑control capabilities—thereby earning customer trust through exceptional value and steadily expanding market share. She further stressed the importance of achieving technological self-reliance and self‑strengthening, seizing opportunities presented by comprehensive reforms, and leveraging the financial benefits unlocked by these reforms to accelerate the remediation of technological gaps, bolster independent R&D and innovation, and continually elevate core‑technology competitiveness, thus breaking free from reliance on foreign technologies. In addition, she called for broadening the scope of industry–university–research collaboration, bridging the “last mile” between innovation and commercialization, dismantling entrenched mindsets and geographical constraints, and proactively engaging with higher‑level, higher‑quality universities and research institutions. By deepening synergies among industry, academia, research, and application, she urged that innovative breakthroughs be swiftly translated from the laboratory into production lines, ensuring that technology serves as a robust cornerstone for market expansion.

Prior to the symposium, a delegation from the Municipal CPPCC visited Anhui Mining Machinery’s production workshop and its model-worker studio, gaining first-hand insights into the company’s level of intelligent manufacturing and its innovative dynamism, thereby laying a solid groundwork for providing targeted support and helping to expand its market reach.

The Municipal CPPCC Committee on Population, Resources and Environment, the Municipal CPPCC Organs’ Logistics Service Center, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Huaibei Mining Property Management Branch, and relevant officials from Anhui Mining Machinery attended the symposium.
